Happy Friday!
I'm feeling pretty ordinary today, and had to close the shop early last night because I was feeling so sick (something I never do!). My wonderful mum offered to open up for me this morning, though, so that I could get a bit of rest and I feel a lot better for it! As well as resting up, I also took a little wander in the garden and picked some of my favourite pink roses - their scent is so wonderful I can even smell it through my blocked nose :)
For this week's tune for your weekend James has chosen "Os alquimistas estão chegando" by Brazilian artist Jorge Ben. It's the first track off his 1974 album A Tábua De Esmeralda. James and I are both big fans of Latin music by the likes of Os Mutantes, Quarteto em Cy, Gilberto Gil, and more recent artists Seu Jorge and El Guincho. I haven't had much of a chance to listen to Jorge Ben yet, but James says since discovering him recently he stop listening!
I hope you enjoy this song (by the way, this video is crazy!!).
I hope you have a fantastic weekend, and if you're coming along to one of Sunday's workshops, I look forward to seeing you then (and hopefully I'll be back to 100% by then!).
