Adventures in tie-dye
Posted by Anna Macoboy
It's been a tie-dye fest at our house lately! In the last couple of weeks I've made tie-dyed t-shirts for James and myself (you should see us wearing them together - ha!), and I've also been working on some tie-dyed silk scarves. The ones in these photos were the first ones I made - I've since done another four different colour combinations, all a fair bit brighter than these. I'll be selling these at Mr Sparrow as soon as I get a little collection together. They are pure Japanese silk and each one is unique, which is what I love most about them. Of course, the finished products won't have these scruffy edges - I was so excited about these ones I couldn't wait until I had hemmed them to try them on!
I've also made dip-dyed t-shirts (you can sort of see I'm wearing mine in these photos) and dip-dyed sheets, which I'll show you soon! I'm also planning on putting up a tie-dye DIY on givemakewrap soon so look out for that if you're interested in having permanently stained hands like me :)
