A beautiful new collection of felted woollen hats, scarves and wrist warmers has arrived from Mosey Handmade, ready for winter! The favourite creature and elf hats are there, as well as a new cloche-style hat, which I absolutely love, and there are a range of sizes to fit everyone from babies to adults. All hats and wrist warmers have sweet little details either in felt or crocheted, and I love the mix of colours and patterns in the scarves. Now based in Portland, Jes handmakes each piece from recycled woollen jumpers that have been felted to make them soft, durable and warm. She finds inpiration in the forest, the ocean, in fabrics from her childhood and tiny things found in her garden...as well as in her own "little bits" (that's her in the photo above - cute!).
I'm going to try to photograph these this weekend and get them up online, so keep an eye on the online store, or pop in to have a look...
Oh, and I almost forgot the best bit! Thanks to the rip-roaring Aussie dollar, the prices on these have come down significantly - hats are now only $34, wrist warmers $38 and scarves $65. Woohoo!
