Goodbye 2010, hello 2011

Anna Macoboy
Hello! I'm back! It feels like I was away for ever, and even though New York was completely amazing, in many ways it does feel good to be back. Back to the warmth, back to my own bed, back to Toshi and my garden...back to vegetables! I don't think I've eaten a single green thing in two weeks, which in theory sounds pretty good to me but it was actually starting to get to me! And of course, back to Mr S.
Mr Sparrow is back open from today, and online orders are back on their way! Also, from this week, we will be opening until 7pm on Thursdays. We were staying open till 9pm for a couple of months before Christmas but the last two hours were just so dead it doesn't seem worth it...so for now we're trying out 7pm for size.
I hope your Christmases and New Years celebrations were filled with good times and you've managed to take a bit of a break like me...tomorrow I will start to tell you about all my adventures but before regaling you with tales of snow, sales and stuffing my face (holidays are all about eating for me!), I thought I would just take a moment to reflect on 2010. It was probably one of the toughest years I've had, but it also had some moments that were beautiful, fun, relaxing or exciting, like the moments in these photos. It was also the year that brought me a new little nephew, the year my other gorgeous nephew turned one, and the year my very own Mr Sparrow turned two!
This year, though, is going to seriously kick last year's ass. I just have a feeling that it is going to be a really, really good year...and I can't wait!
Tomorrow I'll start a countdown of my top ten experiences in New York, so prepare yourself for pizza, snowmen and Chuck Bass!

I was reading this (much anticipated) update and was smiling, then I read the name Chuck Bass and squealed a little. I'm not into the show, but that character is so dapper.
ReplyDeleteDon't mind me, I'm just going to take my late-twenties self over there and swoon like a teenager.
Ps. You should update really, really soon.
Welcome home Anna!
ReplyDelete2011 is going to rock all of our socks off!
Cant wait to be totally inspired by your NY stories! Bring on May and my own adventures to the Big A! Woooooooo!
Welcome back Anna! I wish you a Fabulous New Year and look forward to following your new adventures.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your comments! I was worried you would all have disappeared after my two weeks off, so it's nice to know there are still some readers out there :)
