Wisteria season

I love, love, love wisteria season! When those beautiful lilac blossoms burst out and their sweet, heady scent fills the air you know spring is finally here! It's such a beautiful day here today, too, so it seemed like the perfect time to share these photos of the wisteria flowering in our backyard. It makes me think it might be time to dust off the outdoor table, give the barbie a good clean and spend an evening sitting out here...

I had the most wonderful experience on Saturday - I was given the day off as a surprise! It was all the work of my amazing friend Eko, who rallied together my mum, James and James's mum and together they all covered my shift. It was done so fantastically, too - James suggested we go to the Farmer's Market for breakfast before I started work, but then we were running late (it turns out, deliberately!) so we went straight to the shop...when we arrived his mum was waiting for us, saying she wanted to pick up a present for a friend. So I'm busily going about, opening up and sorting stuff out...when James announces that I'm not actually working today! I was so shocked I nearly burst into tears! The next thing I know, Eko and Rick are there and the four of us are going out to breakfast while James's mum worked at the shop. The others divided the day up into shifts and I had the most wonderful, spontaneous day off! It reminded me once again how lucky I am to have such incredible friends and family around me :)

  1. We seem to be on the same wavelength (except your wisteria is way ahead of mine). I did a post on my blog last night about Spring being here and the buds on our wisteria!

I love your blog, and check it every day.
