Wedding photos...the rest

This is the final bunch of photos I wanted to share from our wedding last year. It's a bit of a mixed bag of all the other details I haven't yet covered.

I don't have any photos of the invitations or menus or anything like that, but the top image is what our invitation looked like. I just designed it myself in photoshop, using a pattern I'd drawn of berries of leaves. We used the same design on the RSVP cards, menus, place names, seating plans, table names and thank you cards, so they all matched - you can see one of the table names in the second photo. We wanted to do give our tables names instead of just numbers, but had a lot of trouble coming up with something we liked. In the end we used the names of streets we'd each lived on, either separately or together, and our table was called "Austen", the name of the lane on which we now live. It was nice because we could then put family members on ones that had meaning to them as well.

The third photo is of our bonboniere - we gave little Japanese box plants in customised pots. The two little berries became sort of a motif, and we screenprinted them by hand onto about 80 pots, which was a bit of a nightmare but worth it in the end! We then had a tree-planting day where we enlisted the help of our immediate families in creating an assembly line to get all the little trees potted! We really wanted to give something that people would be able to keep for a long time (hopefully!) and we liked the idea of giving something living.

Our ring pillow, which is in the next photo, was a moss nest from etsy seller Courtney Allison Design (or designedbylove). It was custom-made with ribbons in our wedding colours and was one of my favourite details.

The last two photos are of our wedding cards. We hired two London Cabs, which were beautiful and in keeping with the whole vintage feel of the day. I find most wedding car options horrible, so we were so happy to find these!

I hope you've enjoyed seeing a few bits and pieces of our wedding, and that maybe it's helped you out if you're planning one of your own. I'll be sharing some photos very soon of the very special wedding I took part in on Saturday, so keep an eye out for those, too!
