I've been flat-out the last couple of weeks getting everything ready for Mr Sparrow's birthday party, which is this Sunday. When looking at my multiple, many-page lists I've had moments of "Why am I doing this?" but then I remember it's going to be lots of fun! And actually a lot of what I've been doing preparation-wise is fun, too - like making these swing tags for the t-shirts (Saturday at the shop was spent hand-sewing buttons onto each one) and little packets for seeds to go into the goodie bags. I've also made some "happy birthday" and "sale" banners, inspired by the ones on Imprintables, which I'll share with you later. Last night we had a "stamping bee" with our very good friends Eko and Rick (thanks, guys!), and got 100 lolly bags and 20 goodie bags stamped, and tonight I'll be baking sparrow-shaped vanilla cookies to go with all the other delicious food prepared by my much-loved ones. Despite feeling a bit overwhelmed by it all, I am really looking forward to the party and hope to see some of you there!
