I'm back at Sparrow headquarters after my few days Melbourne-side and sufficiently recovered from the whirlwind trip to share my trade fair experiences! James and I spent most of one day at Life In Style (and about five minutes at Home and Giving) and although I wasn't really blown away by anything, I still found it a worthwhile experience, if only to meet or catch up with some of the lovely people whose products I sell. Although pretty much everything can be (and generally is) done by email these days, it still makes such a difference to actually meet people face to face, and I was really blown away by how friendly and welcoming everyone was. Plus there were a few exciting new discoveries, too, like O-Check's fantastic range of stationery from Korea (I actually saw this in a few shops around Melbourne before I found it at the fair), local designer Dani M's beautiful jewellery, and Little Chipipi's range of moveable wall stickers for kids...plus a few more bits and pieces! Now I have the dreaded task of sorting through the collection of business cards, catalogues, price lists and scribblings in my note book and following up on those things that I think would make Mr Sparrow a better place...wish me luck!
